Northern Southland Transport". Made by Kiwi Replicas as No. 6 in their "
Stock Trucks of New Zealand" series. Features right-hand drive, steerable front trailer bogie, very nice detail.
Only 504 have been made of this Northern Southland Transport set. This stock truck & trailer is 355mm long, 50mm wide & 65mm high.

Northern Southland Transport Holdings Ltd was formed in December 1964 by the merger of five companies; Five Rivers Transport, Lumsden Transport, Te Anau Transport, Mossburn Transport & Manapouri Haulage. In 1967 Garston Transport was also acquired.
In 1969 John Davies (who now owns 100% of NST) amalgamated his Wakatipu Transport with Northern Southland Transport Holdings to form one of the largest transport companies in the South Island. With branches in Cromwell, Invercargill, Lumsden, Mossburn, Queenstown & Te Anau, this business has grown into a South Island wide transport operation carting general freight, livestock, fuel and all sorts of bulk product. Today NST is part of Trojan Holdings Ltd, a Queenstown based business with extensive interests in Transport, Tourism and Property.
This Volvo is a 2016 FH16-600 Series 4 with a Delta 2 deck/4 deck stock crate on a TMC Trailers deck. It’s cab & chassis were assembled & painted in the Volvo Truck Plant in Wacol, Queensland, Australia.
This unit tows a 2016 TMC Trailers 36ft 5 axle trailer with Delta 2 deck/4 deck stock crate.
With a fleet number of 373, this unit is solely used for transport of livestock. Although primarily based in Mossburn, it can be seen all over the South Island of New Zealand & generally travels around 120,000 km per year.
This unit has been driven from new by Graham King who is a Northern Southland Transport valued team member of more than 30 years.
